A question that seems to be popping up more often that now in the DJ community is “Should i pay to join a dj agency?”

There is no real definite answer to this because it boils down to what that particular DJ agency is offering.

The questions you should be asking yourself are:

Does this DJ agency also charge you a DJ booking fee on top of this?
Does the DJ agency have a good track record of getting DJ bookings?
Does the DJ agency have DJ testimonials to back up their DJ booking claims?
Does the DJ agency respond to you quickly with questions?
Does the DJ agency run full time or is it just someones nightly hobby?
Does the DJ agency offer DJ promotion which would improve your current amount of DJ jobs?

Any DJ agency can claim to get DJ work but all of the above questions should help you make your mind up. In this day and age, the age of the internet, it does make perfect sense to get an online DJ agency, to get your name out there. More and more everything is done through the internet, so don’t miss out on extra DJ jobs just because you may have to pay a small yearly subscription. You only have to look at DJ agencies like UK-DJs or Gig Masters to see that there are top DJ agencies out there, you just have to weed your way through the false claims first.

Best of luck in your bid to find more DJ work and I have hopefully helped with your question… Should i pay to join a dj agency?
